Dell EMC's $3bn baby

Dell EMC wants us to know its XtremIO all-flash array has flashed past all its competitors to achieve $3bn revenues in under three years.

IDC gives it a 40 per cent revenue share in the all-flash array market and EMC says there are more than 3,000 customers using XtremIO arrays. It thinks the XtremIO array could be the fastest revenue growth storage array in history.

El Reg notes that Dell EMC also has all-flash VMAX and Unity plus its DSSD system, as well as all-flash units from the Dell side of the stable; that's five all-flash array storage arrays which represent more use-cases and customer size coverage than any other supplier. ®
