Straight outta Staines: Attenda has finally been sold... to US biz Ensono

We called it

The Staines-based managed service provider Attenda has been sold to Ensono, and we called it.

Initially due to be up for sale by owner Darwin Private Equity last year, Attenda wasn't flogged due to its fairly poor results. As we we reported at the time discussions began, Arma Partners worked as financial advisers for the deal, the terms of which have not been disclosed.

The Chicago-based and infrastructure-focused MSP Ensono was formerly known as Acxiom IT, before rebranding this January with a name "derived from the Zen concept enso, which references 'strength and creativity,' as well as the Italian expression in sogno, meaning 'in dreams'."

The strong dreamers will welcome Mark Fowle, Attenda's CEO and co-founder, to its board of directors. Ensono's CEO, Jeff VonDeylen, will remain in charge of the combined company. ®
