Technicians with SWIFT are getting the blame for a hack in Bangladesh that cost the nation's central bank $81m.
A report from Reuters claims officials have pinned the blame for the attack on SWIFT technicians who introduced vulnerabilities into the bank's network when connecting a Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system to the SWIFT messaging system.
It is believed that those vulnerabilities were then exploited by hackers who made off with the $81m. ®
