SAP business apps rolled as Hitachi cloud service

Private's the word

SAP’s software is to be offered as a private cloud service, says Hitachi Consulting, the services wing of the Japanese tech giant.

Hitachi has announced the rollout of its Consulting Enterprise Cloud for SAP for industrial machinery and components.

The Hitachi subsidiary promised this would be an “affordable, ready-to-use, subscription-based” private, hosted cloud.

Hitachi’s SAP cloud will include a range of business-software staples, such as inventory and forecasting, production and process control and sales and service.

This implementation of SAP will be delivered using something Hitachi calls the Enterprise Cloud Framework, which is designed for SAP apps and which includes more than 100 industry-specific scenarios built through software integration.

Hitachi Consulting, created in 2000 through the acquisition of consultant Grant Thornton, claims customers in the Fortune 500 and Global 100 in manufacturing, retail, government and other sectors. ®
