HP fills those big old shoes vacated by Sue Barsamian

Cloud exec Kerry Bailey ushered into global enterprise channel boss role

Running HP’s global enterprise channel is a big job but someone’s got to do it. That someone is Kerry Bailey, currently a senior exec in the firm’s cloud division.

As revealed by us last month, Sue Barsamian is taking control of the enterprise security product unit, reporting to HP Software bigwig Robert Youngjohns.

In an internal memo - seen by The Channel - Antonio Neri, exec veep and GM of the enterprise group confirmed Bailey, currently senior of worldwide go-to-market for HP cloud, will glide into his new role from 1 November.

Bailey will manage channel, distribution, OEM and enterprise services “pull through”.

“We will also be expanding the focus of the team to include our worldwide Service Providers segment,” said Neri.

With the past two years spent operating in the cloud biz, HP is looking for Bailey to help some partners get to grips and “move” the tech consumed as a service.

“I am looking forward to building on the strong growth trajectory already established in this area by Sue Barsamian and the team. Kerry will report directly to me,” said Neri. ®
