Senior execs at NTT Com Security quit, but not with immediate effect

CEO Church, chief beanie Luntz out by end of next month

Top brass at NTT Com Security are hot footing it out of the organisation at the end of next month, the company confirmed today.

CEO Simon Church, formerly COO at reseller Integralis (which NTT acquired in 2009 to form the backbone of its security ops), and chief beanie Heiner Luntz, have quit.

Climbing into the chief exec’s leather recliner is Frank Brandenburg, senior veep for central Europe, as Martin Naughalty, senior veep of global finance and operations is set to become CFO.

“The organisation will continue to expand its security capabilities to service global customers, which will mean ongoing investment into products, platforms [and] services,” NTT said in a canned remark.

As is customary in these hand overs, the chairman of NTT Com Security’s supervisory board, Luc Loos, praised the exiting execs for beefing up sales from €166m in 2009 to the €300m expected in fiscal 2016.

No doubt some acquisitions will play a part in getting to that figure — NTT Com Security was tipped to acquired London-based reseller Nebulas Solutions Group some months back.

The pair are leaving to “pursue other interests” following a “period of strategic repositioning and growth”, the company said. That means they made the organisation less reliant on traditional product sales and created a busier managed services practice

In his farewell note, Church confirmed he is to become “executive in residence” at C5 Capital, which bills itself as Europe’s only fund investing exclusively in security and data businesses.

As for Luntz, he’ll “no doubt, be announcing his upcoming role sometime soon”, said Church. ®
