“There is ongoing consolidation within the Microsoft partnership space, as customers increasingly move towards full cloud partners and away from specialist boutiques,” said Callanan.

Under the terms of the “seven figure deal”, Excitation CEO Mark Dendy will join Core’s board as CRM director and David Jennaway use set to become head CRM architect.

The 14-strong team at Excitation will continue to operate from their Oxfordshire premises.

Both firms filed abbreviated accounts for their respective fiscal ’13 results at Companies House. ®
