HP EMEA boss recruits enterprise generals

Prepare your soldiers for the channel trenches

HP EMEA boss Peter Ryan is bolstering his band of generals by plucking a couple of Brits from HP's UK ops to lead the channel networking and volume server units at a regional level.

Ryan shares the top job in EMEA with Printing and Personal Systems boss Eric Cador and is also head of the Enterprise Group.

Following the merger of the Enterprise Server, Storage and Networking business with the Global Accounts and Technology Services units, a staff rejig has taken place.

HP confirmed that ESSN UK chief Iain Stephen has moved into a EMEA role as veep and GM for Industry Standard Servers - replacing previous incumbent Florian Reithmeyer.

"Florian has decided to leave HP to pursue his career in another industry. We thank him for all his contribution to the business and we wish him well," said HP in a statement sent to The Channel.

At the same time, popular channel figure Paul Kember has become EMEA HP networking channel director. Previously he was UK sales director for converged infrastructure. ®
