The integration of Magirus has caused Avnet to carve up the EMEA region into four operating divisions - north, south, east and west. The restructure was previously mentioned by outgoing UK boss John Toal who left last month.

Avnet UK and Ireland current boss Sukh Rayat, who also runs the components unit across EMEA, will add director of northern Europe to his CV.

There is no position for Joerg Speikamp, Magirus veep for sales of the eastern region, who is leaving the business, but Andrew Binding, Magirus veep of the north region is expected to bag a senior role within the distributor that will be made public imminently. ®
