Computacenter (CC) director of networking Duncan Gooding has left the reseller giant to join TalkTalk as sales director, The Channel can reveal.

Gooding pitched up at services-based reseller CC from Logicalis in January 2011 to oversee sales of kit from Cisco and other network giants.

The networking unit is one of CC's three lines of business alongside Data Centre & Storage and Workplace & Software, each of which reports to solutions director Kevin James, who in turn reports to Neil Muller, CC MD.

Muller confirmed that Retail and Logistics sector manager Amir Klaus had stepped into the role as director of the networking & security biz.

"Klaus has got the business acumen and sales leadership background to pick up where Duncan left off," Muller said.

CC has also decided to consolidate the sector businesses from six to five - the heads of which also report to Muller - with Retail and Logistics moving into the Industry sector unit.

The others include Public Sector & SI, Retail Banking, City & Finance and Commercial units.
