Bill Gates' best-known attempt at a videogame is now available on the… er… iPhone.
Yes, Donkey.bas, the Basic racing game - move your car so it doesn't smash into the eponymous ass - has been reproduced in all its 8-bit, two-colour, text-graphics glory on iOS.
Donkey king: Gates' game remade
Gates co-wrote the original version with Neil Konzen in 1981 to bundle with the first versions of PC-Dos on the IBM 5150 PC and with Microsoft's own-brand release of the operating system, MS-Dos.
Back then, you tapped the spacebar to change the lane in which the automobile was driving; now you just tap the screen. Either way, lane hop to avoid the stationary mules.
