Brother poaches HP vet to manage channels

New saga for Forsyth

HP veteran Andy Forsyth has jumped ship to rival Brother to beef up the firm's reseller channel.

Forsyth has held various senior positions in HP during his 17-year tenure at the vendor including UK and Ireland channel boss and several directorships in the Imaging and Printing Group.

Phil Jones, UK sales director at Brother, told Channel Reg that Forsyth had joined to have a "good crack at the the distributor and reseller network".

He said it was looking to swell the ranks and, on the back of the new appointment, may try to poach HP resellers looking for an alternative supplier.

"The entire marketplace is an opportunity but clearly with so many years experience at HP, we'll be looking to draw down on that," said Jones.

GM Terry Caulfield, who was reseller boss at Brother, will now oversee the company's "solutions" biz in the channel. ®
