Reseller Insight gobbles consultancy biz

Services outfit Ensynch snapped up

Reseller giant Insight Enterprises has swallowed US-based professional services outfit Ensynch.

Ensynch, which employs 65 field engineers and 70 contractors, turned over $16.2m (£10.3m) last year. It carries Microsoft's Gold badge for virtualisation, ID and security, and portal and collaboration.

Ken Lamneck, Insight CEO, said in a PR blurb that he expected the deal to "elevate our services offering to the next level".

Between May and June this year Insight generated 6 per cent of its $1.47bn (£937m) revenues from services.

Under the terms of the deal, Ensynch president and CEO Gene Holmquist will transfer with the business as veep for software sales, while COO Stan Lequin will lead US professional services.
