Sage Pay, down and out yet again

Day 3 in the no-payment house...

Online payment system Sage Pay is unavailable again today despite limping briefly back online yesterday.

Disgruntled customers commenting on yesterday's story are threatening to jump ship to another provider, blaming a succession of failures from the online payment service. The disgruntled ones have also set up a Facebook support group.

After working for a few hours late last night, the service was switched off again at 11pm – and is staying off while final checks are being made.

The company's here. system monitor page said: "These [checks] are necessary but are taking longer than expected, and we hope to have MSP [My Sage Pay] back up and running within the next few hours."

Sage Pay's Twitter page says the service will be unavailable "until the early hours of Friday 4th March..."

We will update this story should we hear back from Sage Pay. ®
