Dell junks Adamo ultra-skinny

Bye then

Last month, the PC press reported big price cuts for the Dell Adamo, an ultra-thin Macbook Air lookalike.

With online prices slashed to as low as $799, some publications wondered if Dell was gearing up for a head-to-head fight with Apple. The answer has come soon enough.

Dell had embarked on a fire sale, not a price war, to clear stocks. With this accomplished, the company ditched the entire line yesterday.

CNET has the skinny on the demise on the Dell Adamo.

Its source says Dell is prepping an Adamo replacement, under one of its consumer lines (Inspiron, XPS, Alienware) within the next six months.
