Apple releases third beta of 10.6.5 OS X

One known joker to be shuffled out of pack

Apple slung out a third beta of Mac OS X 10.6.5 yesterday for coders to tinker with.

The latest update for Snow Leopard comes a week after Cupertino released the second beta of the operating system.

The third beta build of Mac OS X 10.6.5, which has been loaded with bug fixes and updates, landed with one known issue.

AppleInsider flagged 10H531 as an issue in the beta that is linked to VMware. If installed it can stop USB devices from working when the Mac comes out of sleep mode.

Apple has asked developers to pay close attention to QuickTime, Time Machine, iCal, Mail, USB devices and 3D graphics in the latest beta. ®
