Datatec scoops up Intact

Beefing up channel love

Logicalis Group has spun out Intact Integrated Services, which will now run as a self-sufficient subsidiary of Datatec Ltd.

The company, which provides project, support and managed services to the ICT industry, confirmed yesterday that Datatec will assume a majority share of the new Intact Holdings Ltd.

It specialises in lifecycle service offerings to Cisco partners, system integrators, telcos and ISPs.

The deal, financial terms of which were kept secret, includes the firm’s UK and German operations.

Intact’s management team, led by MD Bob Dalton, will become shareholders in the new business. The firm will be part of Datatec’s consulting ops arm.

"By establishing Intact as an independent subsidiary under the Datatec banner, Intact will have a strong platform for growth and will be able to fully capitalise on its leading position as an independent channel focused consultancy services business," said Datatec CEO Jens Montanana.

South Africa-based Datatec has over 3,700 employees worldwide and it owns distie Westcon, telecoms consultancy firm Analysys Mason and Logicalis. ®
