fiscal year relates to the year in which the tax year ends.... fiscal = monetary

Stop

er......no it doesn't

If you knew what a quarter was and also read the article was then you'd know that Red Hat's 'first fiscal quarter 2009' is the three month period that ended May 31st.

Since the figures have been reported, and it's all written in the past tense, it must be this year (2008).

So, it looks like Austin had a finger slip followed by an internal auto correct when he read it. He can't afford independent proof reading but that's ok because he's got us :)

Hey, Austin!

Paris Hilton

IF their fiscal period runs from March to Feb, then FY 2008 would be 03/2007 to 02/2008. FY 2009 would be from 03/2008 to 02/2009. Companies to not need to follow a calendar year. The company I work for starts FY 2009 in July.

Paris because she has date issues as well!
