EDS buys Brit security shop3 Apr 2008 18:26 Vistorm in an EDS teacupEDS has bought Vistorm, a private UK business that flogs IT security and information assurance services to large companies. Terms are undisclosed. Vistorm is based in Cheshire, employs 220 people and claims revs of $100m a year. Royal Bank of Scotland, Nationwide and Balfour Beatty are outed as customers. The business retains its name - for now - and will act as a standalone operation under the incumbent management team - for now. And it gets to piggyback on EDS’s IT infrastructure and to resell its new master’s existing security and privacy services. With the acquisition, EDS now has 400 information security specialists in EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa).
