The Metropolitan Police have released more details of the data centre robbery in King's Cross last night.
A gang of robbers dressed as police told staff at a data centre in London's King's Cross last night they were investigating reports of people on the roof of the building, before tying them up and making off with expensive hardware.
Camden CID is appealing for witnesses who saw the group of between three and five men in the area around St Pancras Way at approximately 9pm.
Genuine police officers were called to the scene just after 10pm. Nobody was hurt, but one of the five members of staff was treated for shock.
The Met said the gang bagged motherboards, but has not released further details of what was taken.
As we reported earlier today (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/12/07/kings_cross_data_centre_raid/), the data centre is owned by Verizon Business, and is used by banks and other financial institutions. Verizon Business said it suffered a "service interruption", but that its network is now operating normally.
Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. ®
