How sad....

....the poor little darlings might have to do some written work for a change, which might come as a shock to some of them.

There's bound to be someone in each school whose mater/pater works as an IT director or even owns an IT services company that could step up to the plate to 'bale them out'. I suspect a few vultures are already hovering.

Lowest tender

Unhappy

Another case of the lowest tender winning, and then not having enough money to do the job.

The business model is just flawed. Maybe it should be axiomatic that you never accept the lowest bidder.

Gates Halo

Homewood School, an up-itself state secondary in Kent, requires all pupils to lease a Windows laptop from an approved range of two: IIRC you can have the good laptop for £30 a month or the "adequate" one for £15. (And when you finish school, you get to keep a seven-year-old Tosh!)

It's a convenient way of letting everyone see whether you love your children or not. And don't get me started on their uniform policy!
