Dell prices up all-on-one XPS desktop

Dell is still promoting its all-in-one consumer desktop the XPS One as "coming soon", but that hasn't stopped it getting ready for the big day with a webpage full of specs and prices.

The PC giant has four standard models with starting prices ranging from $1499 to $2399. All four sport a 20in display, 2GB of 667MHz DDR 2 memory, hybrid analogue and digital TV tuner and an eight-in-one memory card reader.

The basic two models build on that with an Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 processor, a 250GB SATA hard drive, chipset-integrated graphics and a 16x slot-load DVD writer. What separates the two machines? The pricier one comes with $100 Sennheiser wireless headphones and a two-year warranty package.

Model number three ups the hard drive capacity to 320GB, and introduces a 256MB AMD ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro graphics card. Its CPU is a Core 2 Duo E6550. The top-of-the-range model also has the E6550 and Radeon HD 2400 Pro graphics, but its hard drive is a 500GB model and its optical unit is a slot-load Blu-ray Disc burner.

All four machines come with Windows Vista pre-installed, a suite of Adobe Elements apps and the usual free-for-a-short-time nagware utilities.

They've available to order and buy today, Dell's website suggests.
