Europe helps boost Systemax Q3

Systemax said strong growth in both Europe and North America helped lift sales in its third quarter.
The PC and components vendor said sales climbed 20 per cent on the year to $687.3m in the quarter ending 30 September, while net profits jumped 41 per cent to $17.6m.
The company said North America technology group sales grew 20 per cent, "driven by growth in all sales channels". European sales were up 27 per cent overall, or 19 per cent after exchange rate effects, led by internet sales and public sector customers.
Systemax operates under the TigerDirect, Global, and Ultra brands in the US, and the Misco brand in Europe.
For the year to date, sales stand at $2bn, up 18 per cent, while net profits climbed 22 per cent. ®
