The driving engine of IT

Thumb Down

Ok so Itel created the x86 processor, which is now the dominant CPU used in PC's & Mac's.

Just as the Benz petrol engine dominate most road vercials now, are the EU trying to say that we must have Motorola & Zilog in the playing field, as well as Deisel engines & Steam power.

The words, 'Horse,' 'Door' & 'Bolted' spring to mind!

I think you should read the book "Inside Intel" to grasp what a catastrophy the X86 has been for the IT world.

However, it is not about that but about how a company in the position Intel is has behaved in the market.

And we do need more diesel power even if most heavy trafic like ships, trucks run on diesel. (not to mention power plants and trains in the third world).
