LogicaCMG hit by boardroom row

Didier Herrmann told to leave

Free whitepaper – Why email fails

LogicaCMG's board continues to reshuffle its members with the announcement that executive director Didier Herrmann has been asked to step down with immediate effect.

Herrman had joined the board after LogicaCMG acquired Unilog in 2005. It is understood Herrman was not getting on with the newly-appointed interim chief executive.

The IT services firm made the announcement yesterday following last week's disappointing trading results, where it saw a nine per cent first half revenue decline in the UK arm of its business.

It was also confirmed that Jim McKenna had been appointed as the firm's new interim chief executive last week.

In September he will replace Martin Read, who announced his retirement after 14 years at the helm. His decision was believed to be related to a profit warning issued to investors by LogicaCMG. A team of headhunters has been hired to find a replacement.

According to the Financial Times, a clash of personalities between Herrmann and McKenna was the reason behind the decision to ask Herrmann to resign. ®
