Outsourcing is another example of where crime DOES pay.

Fictional resumes and kickbacks beat out honest skill sets and work.

Europe must be behind the times as the real costs of outsourcing is becoming obvious in the states as companies are not buying the crap outsourcing slave mongers are shoveling anymore.

if you are an IT Manager or Director , outsourcing your IT is an easy way of absolving yourself of any responsibility when brown sticky stuff hits the fan. Just blame it on the outsourcer.

And of course as the average IT director of a plc is only in his/her role for 18 months before moving on to destroy the next company , they are going to be long gone before Finance point out that the total IT budget has trebled, and that it takes twice as long to get anything done because you can no longer just pick up the phone to get IT to modify your supplies database. Instead you have to raise a request, get it buried in soft peat for three weeks and then be sadly unsurpised that the costing comes back at three times the cost that a similar task cost before IT was outsourced.

And then of course the board will keep quiet because they can do nothing about it because the company sacked all their own IT staff two years previously, so to rebuild the lost functions would be a very public and expensive admission that they had all participated in a big f*ck up.

I reckon its the next big accounting scandal, but what do I know...
