BT's small business tentacle has launched a competition aimed at bottling "the essence of the UK's entrepreneurs".
A panel of industry wonks will appoint the country's 20 most impressive entrepreneurs, who'll get their businessy mugs plastered over the gallery walls at the Oxo tower. BT has engaged the services of "renowned photographer" Perou, who has cast off the shackles of the firstname-surname bourgeoisie, to visually capture what it is to be a leading entrepreneur in the UK.
BT Business managing director Bill Murphy explained the concept: "Perou's work with the businesses will provide them with a striking visual identity, and us with an inspirational insight into their passion and commitment."
Businesses which employ up to 75 people can nominate themselves for the awards until 20 July. More details here. The competition is running as part of a renewed small business push for BT, which kicked off last week.
Ever the champion of small business, The Register is eager to help out. Here's our own list of ingredients to synthesise the essence of UK entrepreneurs:
- Old Spice
- That new hire car smell
- Hamlets
- Leather jacket
- A whiff of corruption
- A whiff of secretary
- Ginsters pasties
- Coke Zero
- Broken dreams
Feel free to chip in to the important debate in the comments section below, and we'll forward a creative brief to Perou when the time comes. ®
