Gongs for OGCbs officials

For services to procurement

Two senior officials at OGCbuying.solutions have been rewarded in the new year honours list for their services to procurement across government.

John White, the head of devolved customer relations, has been awarded an OBE for his diligence in ensuring Scotland and Northern Ireland received the same treatment as the rest of the UK, therefore enabling them to make significant efficiency savings in the process.

White has given over 40 years' service to the government procurement community.

Paul Ridgeon, head of special projects, has been awarded an MBE for his procurement work in support of the emergency services.

Ridgeon is said to have made a major contribution to government procurement by leading many complex and cross government procurements, including implementing nationwide framework contracts to support the UK in the event of a major terrorist attack.
