Free whitepaper – What Exchange can't do - and Dell can
Security intelligence firm CERTStation has established a threat level aggregation service. The CERTStation service pulls together real time risk assessments from eight vulnerability watch services (including Symantec ThreatCon, SANSInfoCon and CERTStation in-house service) on one Flash-tastic page.
At the time of writing threat levels range from elevated (McAfee) through low (F-Secure and Trend Micro) to green (SANS InfoCon). If nothing else the site demonstrates that security experts (like experts in other fields) rarely agree. We might also infer that firms selling anti-virus protection are disinclined to declare the net safe. ®
