Citrix is snaffling up provisioning vendor Ardence Inc for an undisclosed amount.
Ardence, which has just 100 employees, has two divisions covering on-demand provisioning and real-time operating systems respectively. Citrix bumf announcing the acquisitions concentrates on how Massachusetts-based Ardence will bolster its provisioning capability right across its product line, including provisioning desktops, server images and SOA objects.
There was no word on where Ardence’s real-time operating system business is likely to fit in.
The deal is expected to close in the first quarter, and should boost Citrix’ revenue by $15m to $18m per year. Citrix said the buy would have “little to no impact” on GAAP EPS.®
