Nvidia has finalised its Quad SLI drivers and yesterday shipped the software with a new, non-beta WHQL-certified driver package. The 32.8MB download is listed as version 91.45 and is part of Nvidia's ForceWare Release 90.
The drivers run under Windows XP, Windows XP Media Center Edition and Windows 2000. The update's tweaks almost entire centre on the addition of Quad SLI operation across a pair of GeForce 7950 GX2 boards, though we did notice a GeForce 7900 GTX SLI glitch and a single-GPU Quadro FX 1500 bug being patched too.
Nvidia also said the driver package enhances PureVideo playback, such as post-process noise reduction and image sharpening, plus improvements to inverse telecine and de-interlacing code. It also improves the drivers' compatibility with third-party MPEG 2 decoders.
The drivers can be downloaded from Nvidia's website here. ®
