Oracle's security organ has splurged 65 patches on customers in its quarterly update.

The new code papers cracks in the firm's database, application server, and e-business suite products.

Many of the problems are caused by a proprietary networking protocol called Oracle Net which has come under scrutiny from security types in the past year, reports TechWorld. A fix for a hole in Oracle 10g made public on BugTraq in April is included too.

Find the Oracle update page here (http://www.oracle.com/technology/deploy/security/critical-patch-updates/cpujul2006.html), and look forward to another exciting installment on October 17.®
