Lucent Technologies has signed up six new "value added distributors" to resell its security products.

Exer Datacom (France), Micro BR (Spain), Redco Telematica S.p.A (Italy), Vercomp SA (Poland), VUMS DataCom spol s r.o.(Czech Republic) and Wick Hill from the UK all made the grade.

Lucent hopes moving to a two-tier channel structure will give it better coverage across Europe for security products which it recognises as a highly competive market.
