Nvidia GeForce 7300 GT coming next week?

Set to bring eight pixel pipelines and SLI to the 7300 series

Monday, 15 May will see the official debut Nvidia's GeForce 7300 GT graphics chip, which ups the 7300 series from a 64-bit memory bus to 128-bit, as per the 7600 series, an online report claimed today.

The 90nm 7300 GT part is based on the G73 core, DailyTech reports. Four of the 12 pixel pipelines are disabled, leaving it with twice as many as other 7300-series chips. The new part's core will apparently be clocked to 350MHz.

Unlike other 7300-class GPUs, the GT will support SLI, the report claims. It's not yet known whether it will support TurboCache like the G72-based 7300 LE and 7300 GS, or not as per the 7600 series.

As per other GeForce 7000 chips, the 7300 GT supports Shader Model 3.0 and high dynamic range (HDR) rendering. It incorporates Nvidia's Intellisample 4.0, CineFX 4.0 and PureVideo. ®
