McAfee is to look to resellers as an alternative to developing its professional services business.
McAfee's Authorised Partner Solutions Services program, announced at a McAfee conference last week and due to start later this year, is designed to help the firm's channel partners move from simply shifting shrink-wrapped boxes of McAfee's security software towards offering consultancy and integration based on a fuller range of McAfee's latest kit.
McAfee president of sales engineering and solutions services Jim Sargent is leading the drive, which is being supported by McAfee Express Services, a training package for selling services.
McAfee's elite-level partners will be the initial focus of the program, but the security vendor wants to get a fuller range of its partners on board over time, CRN reports. ®
