InTechnology has signed up as the first UK reseller for Xythos document and file management software.

The specialist storage distie will promote Xythos's software as a web service, initially to UK acadamic and research institutions, a sector which has proved receptive to its outsourced data back-up services.

Here is an extract from the Xythos pitch:

The applications are designed to help organisations better manage, store and share the vast amounts of unstructured information that exist throughout their enterprises so that they can better respond to regulatory compliance requirements and improve the overall competitiveness of their organisations.

InTechnology is mulling over the sale of its European Allasso security distie subsidiary, acquired in 2003, according to UK channel reports. ®
