Amstrad's em@ilers are going, going...

Minimal stocks left

If you want to get your hands on one of Amstrad's em@iler phones-cum-email thingies - you better be quick. Last September, Amstrad confirmed that it was ceasing production of the em@iler following poor sales.

Yesterday, Sir Alan "You're fired" Sugar said the firm had flogged almost all of its stock of em@ilers and with "minimal" numbers remaining, reckons the rest will be gone later this year.

Still, not to worry. As the firm said last September, the PAYG e-m@ilers will "continue to generate significant usage revenue for the business which, based on June 2005 usage revenue, amounts to an annualised figure of £7.3m".

Yesterday, Amstrad was forced to drop its outlook because based on usage revenue from last December, annualised revenue had dropped to £6.6m. ®
