A little bit of housekeeping in the UK IT channel has seen Horizon Technology Group complete its acquisition of networking distributor Equip Technology for £10.6m.
Horizon CEO Gary Coburn said the new arm would complement its existing business in the sale of IT infrastructure goods to the corporate sector.
The €24.8m (£16.8m) turnover Equip had been part of Matrix Communications Group, which went through with the sale so it could concentrate its efforts on services. Matrix recently bought telecoms managed service provider Network Partners and said in a statement it aimed to be the UK's leading virtual network operator - though it described this as the provision of services over local and wide area networks, and gave no mention of the mobile sector. ®
