Linux distributor Red Hat will be working more closely with UK reseller Abtech to promote the use of Oracle 10g running on Linux.
Abtech has been a Red Hat Advanced Partner for a year but will now work to create a range of configurations for small, medium and heavy users of Oracle software.
The companies claim running Oracle on Red Hat offers "considerable cost savings over traditional proprietary UNIX systems", mainly because of the high cost of proprietary hardware.®
