Novell has promoted Ron Hovsepian from vice president and president, global field operations to president and chief operating officer. He will have direct responsibilty for worldwide product development, marketing and sales.
Hovsepian joined Novell in 2003 as president of North America from IBM where he worked for 17 years. He was also a managing director of venture capitalists Internet Capital Group.
Novell number one Jack Messman, chairman and CEO, welcomed the appointment. As he should.
