Sage CRM goes online

"Great entry point"...apparently...

Sage is launching a pay-as-you-go version of its CRM software available through a website.

A hosted version of Sage CRM Mid Market Edition - called Sagecrm.com - is available from £50 per user per month.

Smaller businesses can use the service through the website to start with and move to an on-site version if their needs change.

This "Rent-to-Own" version is designed to give instant access to online CRM while you are sorting out an inhouse system. The "Self Starter" version is for people with some experience of CRM systems, although it does offer some support and training. The "Expert Advice" version is for companies with little experience or with special configuration needs.

Sage is offering the service through its reseller partners - the company told Computer Business Review this local support gave them "a local touch" and more flexibility than rivals Netsuite and Salesforce.com. Sage hopes its hosted service will bring in new customers from the lower end of the mid market.
