AMD today released two further members of its Turion 64 mobile processor family.

The MT-40 and MT-37 top off the company's series of 25W Turions and are clocked at 2.2GHz and 2GHz, respectively. Both chips contain 1MB of L2 cache.

AMD said the two processors were available immediately, but systems based on the parts will ship "soon", the company admitted. AMD said VoodooPC had agreed to offer a pair of gaming-oriented notebooks based on the new chips.

AMD last updated the Turion line in June with the release of the ML-40, a 35W version of the 2.2GHz chip launched today.

The MT-40 costs $359, while the MT-37 is priced at $268. Both prices apply to batches of 1000 processors. ®
