WestCoast Ltd has strengthened its hand in the UK printer market with the takeover of consumables distributor Orion Media Marketing
WestCoast has long been a dominant player in the UK’s HP printing channel. Orion’s supplier relationships include HP, as well as Lexmark, Sony, Canon, Imation and Epson, and was described by WestCoast as a £170m company.
Orion was previously owned by Royal Bank Private Equity. Its website lists locations in Brentford, Bromley and Milton Keynes.
Two years ago, WestCoast was set to take over German distie Actebis, putting it in the top rank of European distributors, but the deal never came to fruition.®
