Distie round up Avnet Computing Components has picked up the franchise to distribute the XFX Revo64 storage accelerator card across Europe.
The card is made by XFX, a division of the Pine Group, and is built around the Netcell Revolution storage processing unit (SPU). Netcell is a California start-up - you can read more about its technology here [1].
Last month Netcell picked up its first design win in Europe [2], courtesy of the UK’s Scan Computers.
Target Components is stepping up notebook activity. It is kicking off with this month with the full-line up of Toshiba, Acer and Fujitsu brands and "highlights" from IBM, NEC and Maxdata.
Axis Communications [5] has appointed Computer 2000 to distribute its line of IP surveillance network cameras and video servers.
IP surveillance is cheaper than traditional CCTV and sales growing at 30 per cent a year, according to IMS research, and offers “massive growth potential” to networking resellers, C2000 says.
It is running promo and training programmes for Axis.
