Ingram Micro Europe is promising June will be software month at the disty.
Ingram is encouraging dealers to make the most of software sales. It is laying on marketing campaigns, bundled deals and other promotions to increase software sales.
The disty chose June because it is a traditionally busy month both for software sales and license renewals.
The marketing campaign is backed by big vendors like Adobe, Microsoft, McAfee and Symantec.
Ingram sales staff have received "in-depth" training prior to the sales push. Ingram hopes the marketing will increase use of its online e-licensing tools.
The "June Software Month" runs in 14 European countries including; Austria, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
