FSP Group is prepping for the EU's upcoming recycling regime, with Green Power. The Taiwanese vendor says the power supply unit is lighter and more energy-efficient than traditional rivals and it is low on hazardous substances.
The internal lay-out has been redesigned and use of lighter higher-end components has enabled the company to strip 600g off the weight of the PSU. This will be good for shipping export bills.
The pitch for Green Power is that it will help customers conform with The ROHS Directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment) effective from 1 July 2006, and with the WEEE Directive.
Now for some spec:
- Efficiency rate exceeds 85% at full load and has a standby power consumption of less than 1W.
- Noise level at full load is less than 30 dBA
- Meets the latest Intel ATX 12V v2.0 specifications, has a 6-pin PCIe connector, native S-ATA connectors in addition to a 20+4 pin connector.
